FAQ
Common questions
Everything you need to know about STWLTH, pricing, and how your data is handled.
What is STWLTH?
STWLTH is a suite of financial simulators for people who want honest math on the decisions that actually move the needle. Our flagship is the DebtLOC Payoff Simulator — the only calculator that shows you the real math on velocity banking / HELOC strategies, including when they help, when they don't, and how small the actual benefit typically is vs simple extra payments. We cut through the hype.
Is STWLTH free?
We have 5 free tools plus 1 hybrid (DebtLOC — free verdict, premium depth) that anyone can use without signing up — Compound Growth, FIRE Number, Coast FIRE, Mortgage, Tax Bracket, and DebtLOC. Premium and Ultimate tiers unlock additional tools and the full analytical depth on the hybrid tool.
What's the difference between Premium and Ultimate?
Premium ($7.99/mo or $69/yr) unlocks all 10 tools and the full depth on DebtLOC (chunk-size optimization, variable-rate schedule, multi-debt, opportunity-cost modeling), plus 10 saved scenarios per tool. Ultimate ($14.99/mo or $129/yr) adds unlimited scenarios, PDF & CSV export, net-worth tracking, and priority support.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No contracts, no cancellation fees. You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Settings page. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period.
Do you need access to my bank accounts?
No. Never. We will never ask for access to your bank, brokerage, or any financial institution. There is no Plaid integration, no account linking, no screen scraping. You type in your own numbers — we do the math.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Your data is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database with row-level security — meaning you can only access your own data. All traffic is encrypted in transit. We don't sell, share, or use your data for advertising. Our only revenue is subscriptions.
Does STWLTH use cookies?
Only the essentials. We use a session cookie for authentication (keeping you logged in) — that's it. We don't use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party marketing pixels. Our analytics are cookieless by design, so there's no cookie banner because there's nothing to consent to.
How accurate are the calculators?
Our calculators use standard financial formulas — amortization, compound interest, inflation-adjusted withdrawals, etc. All calculations run in your browser in real time. We show transparent math with no black boxes. That said, these are simulators, not financial advice. Real returns, tax situations, and life circumstances vary.
Why a tool specifically for velocity banking?
Because the space is full of $500–$5,000 courses and YouTube gurus selling a strategy that mostly works by accident. Our DebtLOC simulator is built to be honest — it shows the real math, including the cases where the HELOC strategy actively loses to simple extra payments (which is most cases at current HELOC rates). Free users get the headline verdict. Premium users get the full sensitivity, chunk optimization, and opportunity-cost modeling. No course to buy.
Are these tools only useful if I'm chasing early retirement?
No. The tools model general-purpose financial decisions — mortgage payoff, salary negotiation, rent vs buy, tax brackets, debt acceleration — that matter regardless of your retirement timeline. A few (FIRE Number, Coast FIRE, One More Year) are specifically built for people modeling an early-retirement path, but the rest are broadly useful.
Can I save my calculations?
Yes. When you're signed in, you can save scenarios on any tool and load them later. Free users can save 1 scenario per tool. Premium users get 10 per tool. Ultimate users get unlimited.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe. All payments are processed securely — we never see or store your card details.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly billing?
Yes. You can manage your subscription through the Settings page, which links to the Stripe customer portal where you can switch plans, update payment methods, or cancel.
Is STWLTH financial advice?
No. STWLTH is a set of financial simulators — tools that help you model scenarios and understand the math behind financial decisions. We are not financial advisors and nothing on this site constitutes financial advice. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions specific to your situation.
